It has been a while since we have ventured beyond Australia’s golden shores, so it is with a degree of apprehension that we are having a short trip to Japan in March.
We know with a fair degree of certainty that will leave something essential behind, but as this is an organised tour (thankfully organised by folk with significant experience in these matters) we should manage okay.
My first incursion of doubt was when I sending a copy of the itinerary to our children, and it occurred to me that we departed Sydney on Sunday 10 March, not Saturday the 9th! We had been planning to front up to our hotel in Sydney on Friday and that would have been a bit embarrassing! The Japan Airlines ticket quite clearly indicated 10 March, so where the confusion began is, well, confusing!
I intend to post a few little stories, mainly for the benefit of my fading capacity to recall things. I hope that you, my family and friends might find some enjoyment in our trials and travels.
